The two control panels provide the option to display or hide the Tablet and AiO (All in One Controller) position on the map. The AiO position is much more accurate than the Tablet position. Therefore, it generally makes sense to display the Tablet position only when using it outside of the AiO or using an additional Tablet. Otherwise, displaying both positions simultaneously can result in overlapping of both control units on the map.
