This action button allows you to manually start a mapping recording. Once activated, the button will pulse to indicate that the recording is in progress. To stop the recording, simply press the button again.

This function records the driven route and later can be found as a 'JSON' log file in the 'Load Map Overlays' section to create a depth map.

This feature can be helpful when manually mapping shoreline areas, in case you want to get very close to the shore, which may not be easy or safe with an autopilot drive.
