The button in the top centre of the app view has several functions and changes to different options depending on the current use of the boat.
This button can be used to start/stop an autopilot drive and can also be used to cancel an autopilot drive. The following examples provide a brief overview of the different functions. More detailed explanations can be found in the section explaining how to use the autopilot.
Example 1: If the boat is in an active autopilot mode for example when approaching a point, you will see it like this:
By clicking on the arrow to the right of the button, you can get additional information about the current trip.
By clicking on the arrow to the right of the button, you can get additional information about the current Autopilot drive:
You can see the following information at a glance (from left to right): 1.) Recording: Yes/No Indicates whether mapping data is currently being collected for the creation of a depth map. More on this topic can be found in the manual under "Creating 3D maps." 2.) Speed: Displays the current speed of the boat in m/s (metres per second) or ft/s (feet per second if using Imperial). 3.) Remaining time: The remaining time shows at a glance the duration still needed for the Autopilot to complete the current route. This can be either a simple Autopilot drive to a point or the remaining time to complete a full grid. 4.) Driving speed: The driving speed can easily be varied during driving using the slider. This can be done by simply sliding the slider from left (0%) to right (100%) driving speed.
Hint: If you want to drop your rig or baits precisely, it is recommended to drive most of the overall distance at higher speed. About 15m before reaching the GPS point, the speed can be easily reduced, which simplifies the slow approach and more precise placement of your rig through the autopilot (while monitoring the Echo sounder). This approach is also recommended for brushless motors to minimize the noise of the fast-spinning motors by reducing the speed before reaching the spot.
The information bar during active Autopilot can also be hidden by touching the arrow symbol again at any time.
A click on the multi-purpose button (Autopilot active) again allows you to pause or stop the current Autopilot drive.
This opens the following dialog with the corresponding options:
