The RT7 can be ordered with one of two different battery systems: the Smart Battery System and the Basic Softpack Battery System.

Attention!

The boat must only ever be operated with two batteries regardless of what system is fitted to ensure that a spare battery is always available.

Only replace the batteries when the boat is completely switched off. Failure to do so can lead to a system crash of the boat, which can only be remedied by resetting the boat.

**To perform a reset press and hold the main switch for 30 seconds until the boat restarts.

Important: Batteries must always be charged under supervision ! The batteries must be charged on a non-flammable surface !**

Depending on which battery system is installed in your boat the battery compartments will differ:

Smart Battery System

The Smart Battery System is designed for ease of use. Each battery will only fit in one direction with the connectors towards the centre of the tray. Once placed correctly into the tray, just press down on the top of the battery to make the final connection.

To remove the battery just pull gently on the flip up battery handle.

Basic Softpack Battery System

With the Basic Softpack Battery System, there are two cables within the battery compartment that the batteries connect to. These cables are equipped with fuses to protect the boat's electronics system from damage in case of excessive load or a short circuit.

Replacement fuses are readily available from any motor spares shop and it is good practice to carry at least 2 spare fuse with you.

Only pull on the yellow connectors to disconnect the batteries. Do not pull directly on the battery cables as this will result in damage which will not be covered under warranty.
