The 3D RealVision view is an optional feature that can be purchased in addition to the regular views.
In the 3D RealVision view, a 3D representation of the underwater terrain is displayed using the SideScan technology. While it may not be the most detailed view, it quickly helps easily identify structures, especially in situations where no depth chart is available.
Using 'pinch to zoom,' you can freely navigate within this view to change the perspective or zoom in for a closer look. If you want to return to the default view, you can click on the 'Focus RealVision Camera' button under the Echo Sounder functions, and you'll be back in the normal bird's-eye perspective.
Another feature of 3D RealVision can be found in the Echo Sounder settings. Here, you have the option to adjust the Structure ID and colours.
The Structure ID feature allows you to display prominent structures such as vegetation or fish using different icons, such as spheres. Since this can vary depending on the body of water and the specific structures present, you have the option to adjust the sensitivity, size, and display style of these icons. The app itself provides helpful explanations and guidance through question mark icons, allowing you to fully utilize this feature even without a manual.
Due to the high data rates (90-150 Mbps) required for 3D RealVision, the range of this feature is not as extensive as other views. Depending on the lake and conditions, you can expect a range of approximately 150-200 meters.
Additionally, this feature can only be used when the additional handheld remote control is turned off (applicable only to RT4 V4). In this case, you can operate the system manually or automatically using the tablet.
Please note that the RT7 is not affected by this limitation.
